I'm not trying to get a lot of religious answers here, so please try to keep away from book-long-comments.
My husband and I got into a bit of a discussion last night about this so I'm just curious about different beliefs that are out there.
What do you think happens to you after you die??

JPG Mag is one of my favorite mags because the photographers who submit, actually pick which photos make it into the publication. Issue 8 closes in a few days and the theme is "Embrace The Blur".
I'm really hoping that I get in on this one because the selected photographers get a free Lensbaby 3G! I'm a huge lensbaby fan but as I've said in the past, I can't stomach spending money on a 3G when I already own a 2G. I really wouldn't mind getting one for free tho!.
Anyways, check out the submissions and pick out the ones you love.

Thanks to the best birthday present I've ever gotten (my macbook pro from my hubby), I've successfully made "the switch". I thought I would write up a post on what it is like..
First of all. Big thanks to Paul, Trey and Josue for putting up with my noob questions all week.
Since most of the readers on my blog probably know everything I'm about to type. Ignore me. I'm a apple noob. These things excite me! This post is meant to be geared towards windows users who are still using windows and have little or no mac experience.
List of things I love that I never new OSX had:
Dashboard, I never knew it was "hidden" in the background. In windows when you download yahoo widget engine and widgets they sit on your desktop, slow down your computer, and get in the way of everything. In osx, you don't even notice they're there.. unless u actually pull them up. I'll go into more details on widgets later.
Expose. This is a 100% for anyone who is a designer or a network admin. Why? At the click of a button every window on your desktop is tiled across your screen so you can click on the one you want easily. No more endless alt-tabbing!. I never even knew about this before I got a mac. Why didn't anyone mention this before?- Cyberduck & TextMate. After spending years as a messy "code via ssh & joe" coder, I've found the ultimate solution to coding live on my site, while keeping it all organized. I can simply double click on a file after I ftp to the server, it opens up in textmate, I edit it, and when I save it the changes get automatically uploaded. So simple!
- Speaking of simple, did I mention how simple osx is? It doesnt have all of the extra crap windows has that you never use. It has everything you need and want, and nothing more.
- The right-click. I never knew there were 2 mouse buttons in osx. I was always under the assumption that mac had only 1 button. I thought I would die without rightclick. (by the way... right click on a macbook = ctrl+click, nobody told me this for like 4 days!). After I finally figured it out I was able to get around osx much easier
- Everything works together seamlessly. When I add a birthday to someone in my address book, it automatically shows up in my ical as an annual event, so I don't need to add it to 2 places. How simple is that?!?
- Smart Folders. Only the Apple Gods could have come up with this. Think "smart playlist" in iTunes, but for everything. Organize your email, files on your harddrive, ANYTHING!
- Drag+drop everything. U know that "uninstall application" utility in the windows control panel. No more. Drag a file to your aps folder to install it... delete it from there to uninstall it. It's THAT simple. No more windows registry (woohoo!).
- iMovie. It's so simple to make little movies. No more messing with codecs and encoding and converting and etc.. Just click, and it's done!
Things to bookmark if you plan on getting a mac:
- 10 things every new mac owner should know, on Paul's site. Explains some little tricks that are good 2 know when you first get your mac.
- Apple downloads, for any widgets or automater scripts you need
- The unofficial Apple Weblog, for all the latest apps, tricks, widgets, and gadgets you'll need.
Wrapping up, you really can't get a scope of how much more productive you can be with osx, by poking around the apple store and looking at the macbooks. You really just wont get it until you try it for a few days, so you'll have to take my word for it :).
The only regret I have, is not switching sooner. I wish I had traded in my PC for a mac mini eon's ago instead of waiting forever because I thought it was just all a bunch of hype.
Have you ever Googled your own name? How did you feel about the results?
Submitted by elen.
Every day!!! LOL just kidding :)
I wasn't surprised of the results. I paste my name around the internet everywhere. I've totally monopolized the login "kpishdadi" on every website on the net, so my poor son kareem will have a heck of a time when he gets older.
There are 20 pages of results. And I have a pretty unique last name too!

- My site is on CSSBloom, I found via my referrer logs.
- I'm on twitter, add me so I can add u!
- I'm also lurking around facebook these days.
- Check out this LifeStream wordpress plugin that ChrisJDavis put together, you can see an example of it here on my site. Basically what it does is create a combined list of all of your online activities. Very cool, in fact I'm thinking about replacing my photoblog with this, since I don't use it anymore.
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

If we can have sites to give us ical's to subscribe to, why is it that the simplest of things like a vCard for a business, can't be downloaded from yellowpages.com.
What's your favorite Thanksgiving dish?

I've recently become a pretty big MMA fan. My hubby watches it so much it just slowly rubbed off on me.
What used to make me wince while looking at the tv, now makes me hollar and get all excited.
Anyways. Good UFC fight tonight! George St.Pierre totally kicked butt.
PS. Did I mention I even agreed to go to Vegas for valentines day so we can go see PFC live? Am I going crazy or what?!?
